Bio | Sophie Marin is a field biologist who is dedicated to integrating biology and fine arts. Growing up in the woodlands of Upstate NY, Marin grew a passion for the outdoors and arts, and has made it her goal to pursue both. Marin graduated from SUNY Cortland in Spring 2025 with a B.S. in Conservation Biology and a minor in Studio Art. Marin has done 4 seasons of fieldwork, traveling between Alaska and Hawaii during the summers. During these seasons, she takes time to learn about the ecosystems and biota of the regions she lives in. Much of her art and inspiration comes from traveling and learning during her seasonal positions.

Marin plans to pursue a Masters of Science in the coming years.
